Your accounting ERP is complete, but looms and designs still run on Excel and notebooks

Gaziantep is the centre of the world's machine-made carpet production, and most firms have a settled finance backbone. The trouble is that looms, designs, yarn recipes and shipments run outside the system. If the points below sound familiar, the issue is not replacing your ERP but building the right layer on top of it.

  • Almost all design and production software is imported and creates external dependency (NedGraphics, EAT, Van de Wiele control software); licences are expensive, the tools are not in Turkish and they do not fully fit the sector's own workflows. The Carpet Sector Board of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has openly declared this a structural problem.
  • There is a disconnect between actual production at the loom and the accounting/ERP side: production data reaches the ERP late and incomplete from end-of-shift paperwork, technical details such as yarn recipes, waste and metreage get lost on the way to accounting, and the true cost per m2 never comes out clearly.
  • Loom downtime, yarn-break and speed data is collected manually or not at all in most plants; OEE is not calculated, and the root causes of unplanned stoppages (breakdown, set-up, waiting for yarn) are not classified systematically.
  • Yarn recipes and weight-based consumption tracking are non-standard; even though recipe accuracy is the foundation of costing, waste and variance become uncontrollable as colour, yarn and design variations multiply.
  • Roll, length and lot traceability is weak; in plants without barcodes/RFID, stock counts do not reconcile, the wrong rolls get shipped, and when a customer complains it cannot be traced back which loom or yarn batch caused the problem.
  • The design CAD (NedGraphics/EAT) is not integrated with the ERP; yarn consumption and colour recipes from the design are re-keyed into the ERP by hand. Double data entry breeds errors, and the gap between design and production persists.
  • Quality control data (weaving defects, first/second quality grading, scrap and rework) is not digitised; because it lives on paper or in Excel in most places, no trend or cost analysis is possible.
  • The export document set (ETGB electronic customs declarations, English invoices with GTİP/HS codes, packing and weight lists) is bridged to production and shipment data by hand; as e-export volumes grow, the operation stays open to errors and delays.
  • The same information is kept separately on the loom board, in Excel, in the design software and in the ERP; every system shows a different figure, and month-end reconciliation turns into an argument.
  • Design, yarn-recipe and loom set-up knowledge lives in the heads of particular master weavers; because it is never systematised, production know-how and data disappear when staff leave.

Which software does the carpet sector use today, and where does it get stuck

The sector's software landscape is layered: a horizontal accounting/ERP backbone, carpet-specific production tracking (MES), imported design CAD, loom control software and e-transformation tools. Each layer does its own job, but the gaps between them stay open. Let us lay the table out as it is, so it is clear where the solution fits.

Just as Eko Halı integrated Netloom weaving tracking with Logo Netsis, we make the operational layer we build talk to your ERP through its API or database: stock, current accounts, orders and invoices are kept in a single source of truth, and loom and design data flows into it. You neither end up with a second accounting system nor keep running the shop floor on Excel.

Will we have to replace our existing Logo / Mikro / Netsis / SAP system?

No. Your accounting and finance backbone stays exactly as it is; your e-invoice, e-ledger and current-account order is not disturbed. The loom, design and traceability layer we build talks to your ERP through its API or database. Just as Eko Halı integrated Netloom weaving tracking with Logo Netsis, the goal is not to build a second accounting system but to connect the shop floor the ERP cannot see.

Can you pull data from our Van de Wiele or Schönherr looms?

Yes. We pull loom speed, downtime, yarn-break counts and produced metreage from the machines. API-based integration is the healthiest option; where that is not possible we connect via the database or XML-CSV files. Feeding this data into the MES layer, we deliver real-time OEE, automatic downtime-reason classification and Pareto analysis.

Does it integrate with our NedGraphics or EAT design software?

We do not replace these CAD tools; we connect their outputs to the production and costing side. Yarn consumption and colour recipes coming from the design file are transferred automatically to work orders, stock reservations and costing. The double data entry and waste variance caused by keying recipes into the ERP by hand disappear.

Do you offer a local alternative to imported design software?

We never force you to abandon your existing NedGraphics/EAT investment; we first fix the disconnect through integration. Alongside that — in line with the independence goal declared by the sector and the TİM Carpet Sector Board — we can also develop an AI-assisted local design assistant that generates colour reductions and design variations and checks producibility against yarn and loom constraints. We define the scope together during the on-site survey.

How do you handle roll, length and lot traceability?

We barcode or RFID-label every roll with its loom, yarn batch, shift and operator. We scan at despatch and, in a customer complaint, trace back exactly which loom and yarn batch caused the problem. Weight lists are also generated automatically from this data; wrong-roll shipments and stock discrepancies end.

Do you automate export paperwork (ETGB, invoices with GTİP/HS codes, weight lists)?

Yes. We build a module that automatically generates English invoices with GTİP/HS codes, packing and weight lists and the ETGB e-invoice set from production and shipment data. It makes the ETGB limits introduced by the 5 December 2025 regulation (30,000 EUR / 600 kg) and the VAT refund process traceable, and reduces operational errors and delays as your e-export grows.

Do we have to buy all the modules from the start?

No. After the on-site survey we start with the module that creates the most value; usually that is loom MES/OEE or roll-lot traceability. Once you see the gain, we add the other modules — the design bridge, quality/andon, BI or e-export. We spread the budget across phases and lower the risk.

Who keeps the source code and our data?

The source code of everything we develop, and all the data, is one hundred per cent yours. You are never locked into a supplier; you can continue with another team later if you wish. We want the reason you work with us to be that we know the carpet floor — not that you have no choice.
