When accounting sits complete in the ERP but production is still stuck in Excel and notebooks

In most of the machine-made carpet, home textile, yarn and weaving companies in Gaziantep, the finance backbone is in place; but shop-floor production, subcontracting and quality data run outside the system. If the points below sound familiar, the issue is not replacing the ERP — it is building the right layer on top of it.

  • The accounting ERP (Logo/Mikro/Netsis), the production tracking program, CAD (NedGraphics/Lectra) and the colour laboratory (Datacolor) do not talk to each other; the same information is entered by hand again and again and comes out differently in every system.
  • Subcontract work orders sent to yarn, dyeing, printing and sewing workshops are tracked over WhatsApp, Excel and notebooks; how much material went out, how much came back, what the waste was and which workshop is running late cannot be seen clearly, and month-end reconciliation turns into an argument.
  • Actual production on looms, knitting machines, dye vessels and sewing lines is entered into the ERP late and with errors, from paper at the end of the shift; there is no live view of output and downtime.
  • Which yarn lot, which dye recipe and which loom a batch of fabric came from — and which order it went to — cannot be traced end to end; when a colour difference or quality claim arises, the root cause cannot be found.
  • Datacolor or X-Rite produces the recipe in the laboratory, but it is transferred to the dye house production recipe and dosing by hand; colour does not hold batch to batch, and the cost of re-dyeing waste climbs.
  • Pre-costing in quotations is done by estimate; actual fabric waste, marker efficiency and subcontracting cost only become clear once the order is finished, so profitability is seen after the job has closed.
  • With no real PLM, sample requests, tech-pack revisions and approvals are scattered across e-mail and shared folders; which sample is the latest version, and its approval status, get lost along the way.
  • Roll inspection (4-point system), metreage and defect maps stay on paper; quality trends and defect rates by workshop and supplier cannot be analysed.
  • The export market's compliance load (ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, KKDIK — Türkiye's REACH) is handled manually; when a brand audit arrives, the chemical inventory, SDS and certificate file are prepared from scratch every time — manual and risky.
  • A standard ERP never fully fits the size-colour-design-lot matrix, the greige-to-dyed fabric transformation or recipe-based production; the company falls back on plenty of Excel to plug the gaps.
  • Design, CAD and production know-how lives in the heads of certain master craftsmen; because it is not systematised, process and data disappear when staff leave.

Which software the textile industry uses today, and where it gets stuck

The industry's software landscape splits in two: the horizontal accounting/ERP backbone and the sector-specific technical tools (CAD, colour, cutting, RIP). Each layer does its own job well, but the gap between them stays open. Let us lay the table out as it is, so it is clear where the solution fits.

Will we have to replace our existing Logo / Mikro / Netsis system?

No. Your accounting and finance backbone stays exactly as it is; your e-invoice, e-ledger and accounts routines are not disturbed. The production, subcontracting and traceability layer we build talks to your ERP through its API or database. The aim is not to install a second accounting system but to connect the floor your ERP cannot see.

How, concretely, do you solve subcontract workshop tracking for us?

We send work orders to the workshops from the system and record outgoing and returning goods with QR codes/barcodes. How much went out, how much came back, how much was wasted and which workshop missed its deadline are visible in real time. At month end, reconciliation and payment statements are calculated automatically; the process that ran on WhatsApp and notebooks and ended in month-end arguments is closed.

Can you integrate with our Datacolor or X-Rite colour laboratory?

Yes. We build a bridge that automatically transfers the colour recipe produced in the laboratory to the dye house production recipe and the dosing system. We store batch history and measure the cost of re-dyeing. Batch-to-batch colour inconsistency and the waste caused by manual recipe transfer fall as a result.

Does it work with our CAD software, such as NedGraphics or Lectra?

We do not replace these CAD tools; we connect their outputs to the production and costing side. For example, we match the actual fabric consumption from Lectra/Gerber marker efficiency with the cost of the order and with subcontract cutting tracking, closing the gap between design and production.

We manufacture carpets and home textiles — is the solution right for us too?

Yes — this is one of the fields we work in most. In machine-made carpet, towel, bathrobe, curtain and blanket production, the needs that stand out are yarn-weaving traceability, subcontract tracking and the owner's dashboard.
