Bursa's digital commerce potential
Bursa is Türkiye's automotive capital and one of its strongest industrial and export provinces. Major manufacturers such as Oyak Renault, Tofaş and Bosch, together with hundreds of automotive supplier companies, form the backbone of the city; TOGG, Türkiye's first domestically produced electric car, is also built in Gemlik, Bursa.
Alongside automotive, textiles and ready-to-wear, home textiles, machinery and metal, and furniture are Bursa's strong arms. A significant share of the city's largest companies sit in automotive supply and textiles; annual exports exceed 12 billion dollars.
Despite this strong production base, many supplier and textile companies have a weak digital B2B presence: a multilingual catalogue and an OEM- and export-focused site are often missing, and with them any visibility as a supplier. That means new customers and export opportunities left on the table.
Organised industrial zones (OSB), led by BTSO and DOSAB, carry the city's industrial weight. In this ecosystem, the right positioning through a digital catalogue, a B2B portal and international SEO markedly increases access to OEM supply chains and overseas buyers.
Bursa also has strong domestic tourism, thermal and health tourism and a historic and cultural draw; Uludağ and the thermal facilities add a separate service economy to the city. Alongside automotive and textiles, these service arms benefit markedly from multilingual, visually led digital marketing.
