Beauty + Instagram + Influencer: common problems
- Our product photos do not sell (unstyled application shots, poor lighting)
- We cannot find influencers and do not know how to contract them
- We are absent from TikTok while competitors become visible there
Beauty + Instagram + Influencer: why it works differently
In cosmetics, the decision to buy is mostly made by looking not at the product itself but at how it goes on. Users want to see how a shade will sit on their own skin tone, how the texture spreads and how the result changes through the day; a single product photo cannot show that. That is why, for beauty brands, content is not promotional material but the product information itself. For the same reason, content volume has to be higher than in other sectors: a single lipstick needs a swatch video, an end-of-day look and trials in different shades, each separately. Without a regular production flow, the profile quickly becomes repetitive and reach declines on its own. The content calendar therefore resembles a production plan more than a marketing task.
The second deciding factor is trust. Users look less at the brand's own messaging than at the account of someone who has tried the product; that is why micro-influencers are preferred despite their small scale: the distance between them and their followers is short. These collaborations are not a free-for-all, however. In Türkiye, commercial content must be clearly disclosed as advertising, and claims that imply a therapeutic effect for cosmetic products are against the regulations. If the content brief does not define these two limits from the outset, the brand takes on both the risk of sanctions and a reputational problem. So managing collaborations is not just a matter of choosing people; it also includes the brief, approval and reporting steps. Regulatory compliance becomes as important a selection criterion as the return from the collaboration.
In practice, the work runs on three rhythms laid on top of each other. The first is the production rhythm: the monthly shoot and Reels plan is set in advance according to which product will be shown in which format. The second is the sales rhythm: thanks to the Instagram Shopping catalogue, products are tagged within the content, and users land on the product page the moment they are interested, with no messaging step in between. The third is the seasonal rhythm: around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Black Friday, demand for cosmetics clearly peaks, and content, campaign plans and stock are prepared for those dates. Email, meanwhile, turns the interest that builds up in these periods into something lasting; because it is a channel the brand owns, it can prompt repeat purchases without extra ad spend.
Beauty + Instagram + Influencer: what the package delivers
Scope in writing, process step by step, results reported. The fee depends on scope, number of channels and, for ads, the ad budget; a written proposal follows the first call.
- 01 20+ Reels a month (application, before and after, how-to)
- 02 Studio and lifestyle product photography (15-25 products a month)
- 03 Instagram Shopping catalogue set-up
- 04 Micro-influencer (10-50K) partnership management
- 05 Seasonal campaign plan (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Black Friday)
| Scope item | What it is for |
|---|---|
| 20+ Reels a month (application, before and after, how-to) | Shows how the product is applied and what the result looks like. A high production pace feeds reach on Explore, and showing the same product in different formats stops the profile from feeling repetitive. |
| Studio and lifestyle product photography (15-25 products a month) | The studio shot conveys colour accurately for the catalogue and product pages; the lifestyle shot places the product in the context of use. Each does a different job on a different surface. |
| Instagram Shopping catalogue set-up | Makes content shoppable. When products are tagged in Reels and posts, users move to the product page the moment they are interested, with no messaging step in between. |
| Micro-influencer (10-50K) partnership management | Runs the whole process, including selecting creators, the brief, ad disclosure and content approval. Messaging based on real experience lands more closely than the brand's own voice. |
| Seasonal campaign plan (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Black Friday) | Plans in advance for the dates when cosmetics demand peaks. Content, campaign plans and stock are prepared to this calendar, so busy periods are never entered unprepared. When preparation time gets short, content production is the first thing to suffer. |
The tools behind the Beauty + Instagram + Influencer package
| Platform | Its role in this package |
|---|---|
| Instagram Business + Shopping | The main channel where content is published and linked to sales through product tags; Reels and Stories run here. |
| TikTok (and TikTok Shop where open to sellers) | The second surface for short video, usually reaching a younger audience. Whether TikTok Shop is open to sellers varies by market; where it is, video and purchase come together on the same screen. |
| Influencer selection and tracking | Profiles that suit the product and the target audience are chosen together with you; the brief, ad labelling, content approval and results tracking are run from a single list. |
| Klaviyo email marketing | Runs campaign announcements and abandoned basket flows; prompts repeat purchases through a channel the brand owns. |
Beauty + Instagram + Influencer: frequently asked questions
How much content do you produce each month?
15-25 product shoots, 20+ Reels and 8-10 TikTok videos. This can be increased during peak seasons.
Influencer barter or paid?
Micro-influencers (10-50K) usually work on barter (product plus content). For macro and celebrity partnerships, the sponsored campaign budget is separate.
Can you set up TikTok Shop?
The markets where TikTok Shop is open to sellers, and its terms, change over time; we check the current position in Türkiye and in your target market with you in the first call. Where TikTok Shop is open to sellers in your target market, we handle account, catalogue and creator-programme set-up; where it is not, we work with organic TikTok content and influencer partnerships.
What is the skin type quiz?
A five to seven question quiz: the customer learns their skin type and gets a product recommendation. It is both a lead tool (email) and a sales tool, connected to Klaviyo email automation.
What is a micro-influencer?
A micro-influencer is a content creator with a smaller audience than the big accounts but a closer bond with their followers, so their recommendations land more personally; in this package we work with accounts that have between 10,000 and 50,000 followers. We run the whole collaboration process, including selecting creators, the brief, the ad disclosure and content approval. Because in Türkiye commercial content must be clearly labelled as advertising, this rule is defined in the brief from the start.
What determines the cost?
The service fee depends on the number of Reels and shoots a month, the number of influencers involved and how busy the campaign seasons are. Influencer fees, product send-outs and ad spend are planned separately.
What do you need from us?
Product samples for shoots, ingredient lists and usage instructions, product claims that comply with cosmetics rules, access to your Instagram and Facebook Business accounts, and someone to approve collaborations.
