Social Media Management

We run social media strategy, the content calendar, shooting and video production, publishing and community management with one team.

What it is and who it is for

What is social media management, and who is it for?

Social media management is an ongoing service covering what your brand posts on accounts such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube: planning, producing and publishing content, replying to comments and messages, and reporting on results. We run the accounts to a monthly plan tied to your sales or brand goals, rather than post by post. It suits businesses whose customers get to know the brand, follow it and ask it questions on social media.

Strong products, weak accounts

Food, fashion, homeware and retail brands whose products are good but whose photos, video and tone of voice do not show it on social media.

Accounts run in someone's spare time

Firms where social media is handled by an employee with another job, so posting stops when that person gets busy or leaves, and account access sits with one individual.

Corporate and B2B firms

Manufacturers and exporters who want LinkedIn and Instagram kept up to date in a consistent, professional voice, to reassure the buyers, dealers and job applicants who research the company.

Businesses that sell through messages

Restaurants, cafés, shops and local services where questions about prices, orders and bookings arrive as comments and messages, and a slow reply means a lost sale.

Problems it solves

Which problems does it solve?

  • Posting is irregular: busy during campaigns, then weeks of silence.
  • There is no content calendar; posts go out at the last minute with a hurried photo and caption.
  • Comments and messages are answered late, and customers asking about prices or orders leave without a reply.
  • Short video (Reels, TikTok) has been tried, but without a feel for the format it gained little attention.
  • Ads and organic content are disconnected, and at the end of the month nobody knows which post or spend brought enquiries.
Scope and deliverables

What is included, and what do you receive?

  • Account and competitor review: current profiles, past content, competitors and examples from your sector
  • Channel and content strategy: which channels you use, for what purpose and with which content types
  • A monthly content calendar: channels and the number of posts each month are set out in the proposal, and the calendar comes to you for approval before publishing
  • Photography and creative design; how often shoots take place and where is defined in the scope
  • Short video production for Reels, Shorts and TikTok
  • Publishing and profile upkeep: bio, highlights and cover images
  • Comment and message management: we aim to reply within 24 hours on working days, and agree in writing which questions we answer and which we pass to you
  • Selection and planning of influencer collaborations; influencer fees are not included in our fee
  • A monthly performance report: reach, engagement, account growth and contribution to the agreed goals
Process

How does the work progress?

  1. Introduction and review

We talk about what you sell, who you sell to and what you expect from social media, and review your accounts, competitors and examples from your sector. Together we decide which channels you really need and what will be measured.

  2. Strategy and first calendar

We set the tone of voice, content types and posting rhythm, and prepare the first month's calendar and shoot plan. The calendar comes to you for approval before publishing, with public holidays, seasons and campaigns written in from the start.

  3. Production and publishing

We shoot, design and edit, then publish to the approved calendar. We aim to reply to comments and messages within 24 hours on working days; what we can say about complaints, returns or prices is agreed when we start.

  4. Measurement and the monthly plan

Each month we report on reach, engagement and contribution to your goals, and carry the content types that work into the next month's plan.

Cost and timing

What determines the cost and the timeline?

Timeline: Once the scope is approved, we set up the profiles, the first month's calendar and the shoot plan, and the first posts usually go out within a few weeks. Reading trends in reach and engagement takes a few months. The ongoing service starts with a minimum three-month initial period and then renews monthly.

  • The number of channels managed (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
  • The number and type of posts each month: design, photography, short video
  • Shoot requirements: how often, where, and how much product or location preparation is needed
  • The volume of comments and messages, and the range of topics we reply on
  • Whether ad management and influencer collaborations are in scope; the ad budget and influencer fees are separate costs
  • The number of content languages, if you target markets abroad
Measurement

How do we measure success?

We do not promise rankings or a fixed result. We agree the measures below before work starts and report on them in writing.

Reach and engagement
A monthly comparison by content type using the platforms' own insights (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn); we assess the trend, not a single post.
Contribution to goals
Profile visits, link clicks, messages and visits to your website from social media; website traffic is measured in GA4 through tagged links (UTM).
Response time
Time to first reply to comments and messages on working days; the target is 24 hours.
Account growth
Change in follower numbers; it is not treated as a measure of success on its own, but read alongside how well followers match your target audience.
What we need from you

What do we need from you?

  • Access to the accounts: Meta Business Suite permissions for Instagram and Facebook, admin access for TikTok and LinkedIn; the accounts stay in your name
  • Brand material: logo, colours, fonts and any brand guidelines
  • Access to products, premises and, where needed, staff for shoots
  • Someone with authority to approve the calendar, plus accurate answers to common questions on prices, stock, orders and complaints
  • Advance notice of campaigns, launches and sales

Frequently asked questions

FAQs about Social Media

What does a social media agency do?

A social media agency plans what a brand posts, produces and publishes the content, replies to comments and messages, and measures the results. With us this means a monthly content calendar, shoots and design, short video production, comment and message management and a monthly report; which of these you need is decided in the first conversations.

What affects the price of social media management?

The number of channels, the number of posts each month, shoot and video requirements, the volume of comments and messages, and whether ad management is included. The ad budget and influencer fees are not included in our fee. After a free initial call we set out the scope and monthly fee in writing.

How many posts a month will we get?

There is no fixed number; it depends on the channels, content types and your goals, and the monthly number is set out in the proposal. On most accounts, fewer posts made with care and published regularly do more than frequent, hurried ones; the calendar comes to you for approval every month.

How quickly do you reply to comments and messages?

We aim to reply within 24 hours on working days. When we start, we agree in writing what information we can give on questions about prices, stock, orders and complaints, and which questions we pass to you, so messages are neither left unanswered nor answered wrongly.

Is social media management the same as ad management?

No. Social media management is the organic side of an account: planning, content, posting, comments and messages. Ad management means setting up paid campaigns, targeting them and measuring the results. We recommend running both to the same calendar; if you want ads, they are added through Meta Ads management.

Do you guarantee followers or engagement?

No. Followers and engagement depend not only on content but also on your product, your sector and the platforms' own distribution decisions. We agree the measures with you before work starts and share the results and next month's plan in writing every month.

How long is the contract?

The ongoing service starts with a minimum three-month initial period and then renews monthly. On most accounts, less time is not enough for a content routine to settle and for trends in reach and engagement to be read.
