Detailed definition
A list of the people who visited your site is built with a pixel or cookies. You then show those users ads again on Meta or Google: a reminder for someone who viewed a product, a coupon for someone who added to the basket, a cross-sell for someone who bought. Dynamic retargeting (showing the exact product the user viewed, from a product feed) is one of the methods that can work well in e-commerce in most accounts. Building these lists requires user consent.
Examples
- Showing a retargeting ad with a discount coupon three days later to a user who looked at a skincare product.
