What is hreflang?

The link attribute that states which language sits at which URL on multilingual or multi-region sites.

Detailed definition

On sites with TR/EN/DE versions, every page references the other language versions in its head with hreflang links, in the format <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="...">. A fallback URL is declared with x-default. An incorrect set-up leads to Google showing the wrong language.
