What is llms.txt?

A standard file published at /llms.txt that briefs AI engines on the brand's structure in Markdown format.

Detailed definition

llms.txt is the AI-era equivalent of robots.txt. When AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and others) crawl the brand, they read /llms.txt first and describe the brand correctly. Contents: a short brand definition, company details, service areas, certifications, frequently asked questions and a list of the important pages. For multiple languages, variants such as /llms-en.txt and /llms-de.txt are created. It was standardised in 2024 and is a core component of GEO.
