Ready for the new generation of search behaviour
Generation Z and millennials now ask ChatGPT directly instead of Google. If your brand appears in their answers, a new acquisition channel opens up even as classic traffic declines.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the new generation of optimisation discipline that makes brands visible in the answers of artificial intelligence engines. Classic SEO works for Google's result pages; GEO works for AI answers. PAN is one of the pioneering agencies for GEO expertise in Türkiye.
Some users now turn directly to ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude instead of Google when they are looking for information; this behaviour is spreading rapidly, particularly among younger user groups. Even though classic Google traffic is not falling away, AI engines have opened up a new acquisition channel.

The agencies specialising in GEO in Türkiye can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Starting now means a significant advantage throughout 2025-2026.
When a brand appears in AI answers, users perceive it as an authority in its sector. The passive PR effect is considerable.
Long-tail keywords used to generate organic traffic. Now AI engines answer these long, intent-rich questions themselves — your brand needs to be in those answers.
GEO is not an extension of classic SEO; it is a new discipline. The eight-step audit below is where every one of our GEO projects begins.
Is the llms.txt file in place at the site root?
Is schema.org markup present on every page? (FAQPage, Organization, Service, Article)
Is the content structured in a question-and-answer format?
Are AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt? (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot)
Is the brand description consistent on every page? (AI learns it as a single definition)
Are there clear definition pages (what is X?)?
Is there comparison content? (X vs Y)
Do the pages carry statistics updated annually or monthly?
At the site root; a brief in Markdown format so that models such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can describe our brand accurately.
View /llms-en.txt →Organization, ProfessionalService, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Article markup. AI engines prefer structured data.
Schema test →GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, anthropic-ai, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot, cohere-ai — all explicitly allowed.
View /robots.txt →FAQ pages in question-and-answer format, clear definition cards ("What is Pan Innovation House?"), comparison tables, itemised features. AI parse-friendly.
GEO is the optimisation discipline that makes brands visible in the answers given by artificial intelligence engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. Classic SEO focuses on Google’s search results; GEO makes sure your brand is mentioned in the answers AI engines give to people’s questions.
No. SEO is not dead, it has simply changed. Google’s search volume is still enormous and organic traffic is still valuable. However, a new generation of users (particularly the 18-34 age group) asks ChatGPT or Perplexity directly. The smart strategy: run SEO and GEO in parallel.
In classic SEO we track Google rankings. In GEO we track: (1) the number of answers your brand appears in when we put specific questions to AI engines, (2) referrer traffic from ChatGPT and Perplexity (visible in analytics), (3) how your brand is described in AI answers. We share these metrics in the monthly GEO report.
For the Turkish market: ChatGPT (the largest user base), Perplexity (high-intent searches), Google AI Overviews (Google integration), Claude (enterprise users), Gemini (integrated into Android). Each has its own source preferences, so a multi-channel strategy is required.
llms.txt is a file that gives AI engines a direct brief about your brand in Markdown format. It is published at the /llms.txt path on your site. Models such as ChatGPT and Claude crawl it and describe your brand accurately. You can see PAN’s own llms.txt here: paninnovation.com/llms-en.txt
AI engines favour structured data, clear definitions, the FAQ format, authoritative sources and schema.org markup. GEO-friendly content: (1) question-and-answer format, (2) clear definitions (what is X?), (3) lists and comparisons, (4) dated and numerical data points, (5) source references.
GEO is a new discipline — there are very few specialists in Türkiye. Our team (in particular our SEO and GEO consultant Ali Bardız) is doing pioneering work in this field. We have been running SEO on our own site for five years, and we have been applying GEO actively since 2024. Our site’s llms.txt, schema.org implementation and structured data are a best-practice example.
In a free 30-minute call we test your brand live in ChatGPT and Perplexity, assess the state of your llms.txt and schema, and share a draft GEO roadmap.
